2007 Pembrokeshire Porpoise Survey

Diving

Diving in the waters off the Pembrokeshire Coast has always provided some of the most interesting and varied diving in the country, the weather conditions during this season have ensured that this is never more so! Despite the weather (and believe it or not, there were good bits!) we managed to have a full and generally pleasing season. Feedback from all the groups who dived with us has been excellent.

It is due to the dramatic nature of the coast and Islands that despite almost any weather conditions we are able to find somewhere to dive, whether it be wreck, drift or scenic diving that your group requires!

During 2004 we have discovered and dived a number of wrecks that as far as we are aware have been lost for some time, some almost certainly have never been dived before! One of these wrecks, the Luminance was found and dived by a techie group, this wreck certainly has never been dived before and remains full of ‘treasure’ to be found! We hope to return to this wreck in the forthcoming seasons!

Already we are taking bookings for 2008 and look forward to finding and researching more and more of the numerous wrecks still left to be found in the waters around the coast of Pembrokeshire.

Please do not hesitate to contact us directly to discuss your diving needs, our office will remain open throughout the winter with our staff more than happy to chat about developing a diving package that fullfils the specific needs of your group.

We are able to offer a range of vessels from which to dive, from our 33’ Motor Vessel, ‘Blue Shark’, refitted with a new engine during 2004, and planned for extensive refurbishment during the winter months.
Our 9m R.I.B Topaz is available, ready for any weather, able to deliver you to some of our favourite dive sites at the island of Skomer and Skokholm in under 30 mins from our base at Neyland Yacht Haven.

Facilities available at the Yacht Haven include a licensed Café, Chandlery, full toilet and showering facilities, a bar and restaurant, free parking. Access to the Yacht Haven from the estuary is not restricted by tide, which means we are able to get out and go diving at any time of the day, or night!

Our Dive Coxes Steve, Alan & Howard have dived the waters around Pembrokeshire, and indeed all over the world for the past 25 years.
